SCPL's Book Club will meet on Monday, December 4th at 6pm to discuss Elizabeth Acevedo's novel Family Lore, which tells the story of one Dominican American family through the voices of its women. Copies of the novel are available now for checkout at the SCPL circulation desk. 

Acevedo is a National Book Award winning author (for 2018's YA novel-in-verse The Poet X), but this is her first novel intended for an adult audience. Family Lore has already been shortlisted for the 2023 Center for Fiction First Novel Prize.
